Frequently
Asked Questions (buyers)

We are always available at info@bridesdogood.com if we haven’t answered your question(s) here.

1) Pre-owned dresses
Pre-owned dresses have already graced one wedding, and are ready to star in a new love story.

2) Customised dresses
These are pre-owned dresses that have been designed and commissioned by the original bride.

3) Sample dresses
Sample dresses come directly from designers or retailers, and haven’t been owned before.

Choosing a wedding dress demands knowing what shape best adorns your figure. We hope this guide is helpful:

A-line dress
An ideal for all brides, especially plus-sizes, as it elongates and creates a slimming silhouette. It also creates the illusion of curves on narrow frames with a cinched waist. The A-line has become somewhat synonymous with the Princess silhouette popularised by the iconic actress, Grace Kelly, who later became Princess Grace of Monaco.

Trumpet gown
Though most flattering for tall, hourglass or slender brides, this wrap-style dress with sweetheart neckline can hide a few problem areas and create curves. With a trumpet dress, bridal belts and sashes can really help highlight your natural waist, accentuating (or even creating) an hourglass figure, while adding a personal touch to your gown.

Mermaid gown
Fitted at the waist and flaring from the knee, this body-hugging design is ideal for tall, slender brides or voluptuous brides wanting to show every curve.

Ball gown
Versatile yet ideal for slender of pear-shaped figures. A drop waist and full skirt elongate the torso and accentuate the waist. Topped with a sweetheart neckline, it creates and hourglass look. These designer wedding dresses are often beautifully elaborate works of art, with layered tiers, delicate embroidery, and intricate beading.

Sheath dress
A timeless classic best for elongating petite and small-frame brides. Sheath wedding dresses are a versatile silhouette; this sleek style can feel modern, vintage, formal, semi-formal, or informal. It depends on the gown's design, and how you style it.

Cocktail & knee-length dress
Cocktail and knee-length dresses are usually worn by brides having informal weddings and destination weddings. These styles are a great option for a second dress to wear during the reception, as they allow a bride to move much more freely than any floor length gown. The bonus? You can re-wear your cocktail wedding dress on anniversary dates.

Tea-length and ballerina dress
Tea-length dresses have a skirt that extends just past the knees, ending at about the middle of the calf. This style is slightly shorter than ballerina length. The hemline of a ballerina-length skirt stops right above the ankle.

We’ve collected some of our favorite styles that easily coordinate with major wedding theme – to help you simplify the selection process.

Traditional & Romantic
If you want a traditional wedding with all the all of the classic details and rituals, one of these gowns could be a dream fit for you.

Vintage
Vintage weddings are a celebration of old-fashioned elegance mixed with modern sensibility. Whether your wedding takes place on a rustic farm or in a historic home, we think you will love these pretty options.

Retro
This theme deserves a category all to itself. Nostalgic with a “wink”, this look is all about flirty, playful fashion with hints of 1950s and 60s style.

Modern
Modern weddings are possibly just as hard to define as traditional ones. No longer are modern wedding dresses simply stark white sheaths (although they can be). These gowns are very different from each other, yet all have an elegant edge.

Boho
Embracing a relaxed and laidback vibe, boho weddings love easy style. And these dresses certainly deliver a breath of fresh air with their flowy skirts and nature-inspired detailing.

Seaside
Want to get married with the ocean breeze flowing through your hair and the sand in between your bare toes? These options are beautiful.
