“I am honoured to be an Asian Women of Achievement Awards 2018 finalist, alongside Asian women who have achieved such inspiring impact in the social & humanitarian field” says our founder Chantal Khoueiry.

Founded 18 months ago, the Brides do Good movement and social enterprise connect brides-to-be with brides to fund on-the-ground programmes to end child marriage. Her nomination is an amazing recognition of her philanthropy as well as the concrete change Brides do Good helps fund in Asia and the Middle East.

Other women shortlisted in the category include Kalbir Bains (Author), Sophia Khalid (Human Rights Ambassador, Youth for Human Rights International), Jihyun Park (North Korean Survivor and Women’s Rights Advocate, Connect: NK), Onjali Q. Rauf (CEO & Founder, Making Herstory) and Hina Shahid (Chairperson of Muslim Doctors Association and NHS GP).

The winners will be announced on 9 May.

Founded in 1999, the Asian Women of Achievement Awards, celebrate multicultural Britain and the contribution of diverse cultures and talents to UK society across industries. Its patrons include Cherie Blair and HRH Princess Badiya bint El Hassan.
